Data controller

Green Acquisition Ltd, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (see the legal notice), is the controller of the data collected on my-workers.fr. For any question about your data: contact@my-workers.fr.

Data we collect

Account: first name, last name, email address and its confirmation date, language, password (stored hashed, never in clear text), referral code and referrer if any. Business client: company name. Worker: professions, headline, presentation, skills, languages, city, years of experience, photo, CV and phone number (read by the MyWorkers team only, to review the application, never published), hours offered per day, and payout details (mobile money number or Payoneer address, holder's name). Usage: bookings, amounts, balance, messages exchanged on the platform (including with the MyWorkers team), daily reports, disputes, reviews, support requests, moderation warnings. Payment: your card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through our servers; we only keep a Stripe customer and payment identifier. Technical: IP address on sign-in attempts and submissions, for protection against automated attacks. Technical logs of the web server (IP address, page requested, timestamp), kept for 14 days.

Why we process it

Performance of the contract: creating and confirming your account, publishing profiles, enabling bookings, managing payments, escrow and payouts, following up missions. Legitimate interest: moderating messaging, preventing bypassing of the platform and self-referral, arbitrating disputes, securing access to accounts, keeping the log of our agents' actions. Legal obligation: keeping accounting records. Consent: sending non-essential information, where applicable.

How long

An account whose address has not been confirmed is deleted 48 hours after registration. Account data is kept while the account is active; when the account is closed, at your request, it is anonymised within one month, except for accounting records and transaction records, which are kept for ten years in accordance with legal obligations. Each year we review accounts with no activity for more than three years in order to anonymise them. Messages and daily reports follow the fate of the mission they belong to. Email confirmation links expire after 48 hours, password reset links after thirty minutes.

What other users see of you

Worker: your public profile shows your first name and the initial of your last name, your photo, city, professions, skills, languages, presentation and reviews; a client who books or writes to you sees your first name and the initial of your last name. Client: the worker sees your first name and the initial of your last name or, for a business, your company name, as well as the mission brief. Reviews are published with their author's first name. No contact details (email, phone) are ever disclosed to the other party.

Who has access

MyWorkers' agents, to the extent necessary for their tasks; each of their interventions is logged. Our processors, who act on instruction and may not reuse your data: OVH SAS (hosting of the site and data in France, sending of emails), Stripe (card payment; Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Ireland) and, for payouts to workers, Malagasy mobile money operators and Payoneer. No data is sold. The only advertising exception, and only with your consent, is the Meta pixel described in the "Cookies and local storage" section. Messaging exchanges may be reviewed by our agents under the conditions described in section 13 of the terms of use.

Transfers outside the European Union

Your data is hosted in France. The controller is established in the United Kingdom, a country recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate protection. The information strictly necessary to perform a mission (first name, last name, company name, brief, messages) is accessible to the worker you booked, established in Madagascar: this transfer is necessary for the performance of the contract concluded at your request.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can exercise them at contact@my-workers.fr; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence — the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) — or with the ICO in the United Kingdom (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and local storage

Only with your consent, given or refused in the banner shown on your first visit, MyWorkers uses the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of its advertising. It is loaded only on the site's public pages (home, catalogue, blog, sign-up, information pages), never in your signed-in area; it sends Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd the address of the page viewed, technical identifiers and, where applicable, the fact that a registration was completed (account type only, no name or email address), and sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies (90 days at most). Meta is jointly responsible with us for this collection, then solely responsible for its own use of the data (meta.com/privacy). Your choice is kept for six months; you can change it at any time through the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page, and refusing deletes these cookies. MyWorkers uses no other advertising tracker or audience measurement tool. A technical cookie remembers your language (NEXT_LOCALE). Your session token is kept in your browser's local storage so that you do not have to sign in again on each visit, and removed on sign-out; your display mode (client or worker) and any booking draft are kept there in the same way, as is your cookie choice. Stripe's payment form, loaded only at payment time, sets its own cookies required for the security of the transaction.

Security

Passwords are hashed, confirmation and reset links are never stored in clear text, sign-in attempts are limited to counter automated attacks, and any password change closes other open sessions. Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). The database is backed up every night. In the event of a data breach likely to expose you to a risk, you would be informed within the time limits provided by law.
